My History
I kinda always photographed, but I do it intensively since early 2008 when I bought my first DSLR — which was and still is a Canon EOS 30D. Since than I manly focus on trying different things. I try shooting landscape, people, trips and sometimes macro. Till now I developed a focus on people photography cause I enjoy it most but I tend to get into new fields and experience new sorts of photography and like to get more and more into different kinds to test what I am capable of.

My Gear
I still use my first DSLR — a Canon EOS 30D — for converting the real live into a digital picture. The lenses I mainly use are Canon EF 28mm F/1.8 USM and Canon EF 85mm F/1.8 USM. Besides these two I own the kit-lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 — used least of the time — a Sigma DC 55-200mm F/4-5.6 — used for the zoom — and last but not least and — formally most used lens — my Canon EF 50mm F/1.8 (now sold). If there is not enough light, I take my Canon Speedlite 430EX II with me to get rid of the darkens around me. The pictures are saved on two CompactFlash drives. All that gear fits into my Lowepro Fastpack 350 which also can handle my MacBook if I need it but I also own a Lowepro Nova 160 AW to just take with me what I need on a photo-walk.
Editing is done with Lightroom — formally Aperture but I transferred some month ago — at my white MacBook with 2.16GHz Dual Core 2 Duo and 4GB of RAM. The pictures are stored at one 250GB 2.5″ HDD and a backup is at a 1000GB 3.5″ HDD.

Upgrade Plans
I would love to upgrade some gear with some better once. Especially my lenses cause I think they make the main difference in photography.
My dream’s are to get the Canon EOS 5D MKII someday and maybe one Canon EF 70 – 200mm F/2.8 L USM lens. One realistic dream is to get the Sigma 2.8 EX DC for the extreme wide angle!
But the price is to heavy to cary right now! And that may stay that way for a bit longer…
