My History
I kinda always photographed, but I do it intensively since early 2008 when I bought my first DSLR — which was and still is a Canon EOS 30D which got a new companion my new Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Since than I manly focus on trying different things. I try shooting landscape, people, trips and sometimes macro. Till now I developed a focus on people photography cause I enjoy it most but I tend to get into new fields and experience new sorts of photography and like to get more and more into different kinds to test what I am capable of.

My Gear
Currently I am shooting with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and in addition to that my first DSLR belongs to my gear — a Canon EOS 30D — to convert the real world life into a digital picture.
My currently most used lenses are the Canon EF 28mm F/1.8 USM and Canon EF 85mm F/1.8 USM. Besides those two I own the kit-lens Canon EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 — used just once in a while — a Sigma DC 55-200mm F/4-5.6 — used for the zoom (works with the 5Dmk2 and 30D). If there is not enough light or I do not want to go lowlight, I take my Canon Speedlite 430EX II or Metz 48 AF-1 with me to get rid of the darkens around me. The pictures are saved on four CompactFlash cards. All that fits into my Lowepro Fastpack 350 which also can handle my MacBook if I need it but I also own a Lowepro Nova 160 AW to take with me when I am on a photo-walk.
Editing is done with Adobe Lightroom — formally Aperture but I transferred a long time ago — at my white MacBook with 2.16GHz Dual Core 2 Duo and 4GB of RAM. The pictures are stored at one 250GB 2.5″ HDD and a backup is at a 1000GB 3.5″ HDD.

Upgrade Plans
Well, the pretty much most wanted thing was the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and I finally got it.
Now the only dream I have is a lens.
I really would like to get a wide angle for my 5D Mark II,
for example the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L or the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L.
